Beaches

There is a short walk to the beach or alternatively head down to the main beach at Wilderness. There is also the sheltered pinic area at Victoria Bay closer to George which is a great spot to sit and have lunch while watching the surfers.

Craft Markets

On Friday evenings, the Milkwood Village Market, which is a crafters market, starts at about 4pm. Every Saturday morning from 7am in Sedgefield (10 mins drive) there is the Wild Oats Market which is the community farmers market.

Surfing

Great surf spots in the area include Vic Bay, Steps and Gericke's Point.

Hiking in Wilderness National Park

Walk through the lush green forestes and perhaps spot a shy Knysna Lourie. There are many routes of varying distances along the river heading up to the main waterfall.

Canoing on the River

Rent a canoe for the day from Eden Adventures and take a picnic lunch along the Touw River.

Paragliding

Take a tandem flight with an instructor from the Wilderness Heights and see the area from a different angle.

The Wilderness Hydro is at the Beach Hotel and offers many top class beauty and relaxation treatments.
